Pull up to 3100 W Main Street and you'll notice a few things right away: the lot is enormous, the lawn is green and well-kept, and the building is newer and more spacious than most lodges you've visited on the road or around town. That's not by accident. The members of Visalia Elks Lodge #1298 have put real work into this place, and it shows in the fresh asphalt in the RV area, the clean facilities, and the friendly faces that greet you whether you're a dues-paying member or a traveling Elk checking in for the night.

The lodge sits along a water canal with a generous grass area that gives the property an open, unhurried feel rare in a city of Visalia's size. Rated 4.6 out of 5 across 163 reviews, this is a lodge where the reputation is earned visit by visit, not handed down by tradition alone. Visitors consistently single out the staff and members for being genuinely welcoming, not just polite.

BPOE Lodge #1298 has been a cornerstone of Tulare County civic life, supporting youth programs, veterans' services, and local scholarships. The work happens quietly, funded by members who believe a community that takes care of its own is a stronger community for everyone.

What We Offer

The RV parking area is one of the best-reviewed features on the property. Roughly 16 partial-hookup sites offer 50/30-amp electric and water connections, plus an on-site dump station. The lot is flat, easy to maneuver, and first-come, first-served, so you can usually pull straight in without a reservation. The asphalt was recently repaved, making it one of the cleanest setups in the Central Valley.

Inside the lodge, members and guests enjoy shuffleboard, pool tables, and horseshoe pits out back. The bar and lounge areas are spacious enough to host private events, lodge meetings, and community fundraisers without feeling cramped. The grounds are maintained with care, and the canal-side setting adds a calm backdrop that's hard to find at most stops along Highway 99.

Beyond the amenities, the lodge runs a full calendar of member events, charitable drives, and youth-focused programs throughout the year. If you're an Elk visiting from out of state or a Visalia local considering membership, the door is open and the welcome is real.

"Great RV spots. We pulled right in and hooked up.I think about 16 partial hookup sites. Flat and quiet. The parking lot is huge. The lodge is newer than most and spacious. Friendly staff. They are open later than most which is my favorite and most unique feature about it. Great breakfast spot next door."

"Great Lodge! Super people. Having a hard time with the covid restrictions but still doing the best they can, which is pretty good! Nice barbecue on Saturday. Around a dozen water and electric RV hookup sites for Elks, and a dump station"

"I was invited for a dinner this place was serving. The building was built around 1965 and you can really tell by the architecture. It looked semi empty when walking in. There was only 2 people sitting at bar in photo. My friend then showed me the members bar! It was very busy inside! Huge bar with 2 bartenders. They had great selections of liquor. The Dining room was good. Favorite thing: the meatloaf was my top favorite that I ever paid for. Points of improvement: I would have to visit a few more times to find something"

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
